I just gave you $300,000! You have to pick an American, German, and Japanese car, and one must be front drive, one rear drive, and one all wheel drive. My choices are as follows:
An American front-drive car, the Cord 812 Phaeton.
A German all-wheel-drive car, the Audi S8.
And finally, a Japanese rear wheel drive car, a Toyota Supra.
What would you pick?

R33 GT-R Nismo 400R Skyline, the all wheel drive Japanese car. $76k, for number 34 of 99, that was for sale in Finland.
Ford Focus ST, front wheel drive American car. $27k for a nicely-loaded variant.
Lamborghini Balboni Gallardo, mid-engine rear wheel drive European car. About $160k according to this website of for sale listings.
$38k left over for shenanigans, maintance, and building more garage space.

can you get a toyota 2000gt for 300k?
![]() 06/25/2014 at 17:37 |

FWD: Probably ought to be the Japanese car. (tough decision could have swung for Focus ST)
The next generation Honda Civic Type-R I just watched that ridiculous commercial for (probably about 35k)
AWD: I'm going to modify this to 4WD and go 'Murican.
Shelby Raptor on the FP (125k ouch)
RWD: Since I've barely spent 100k, we are going to go big with this German RWD car
2011 Porsche 911 GT3 (around 125k with some mileage)

Pretty sure the Lamborghini isn't German.

Germany - AWD
And America

German awd: pre-2012 Mercedes G55 AMG
American rwd: '68 Dodge Super Bee
Actually there are quite a few late 60's early 70's muscle cars I'd gladly take.
Japanese fwd: Honda Integra Type-R dc2

An RWD American, the Cadillac CTS VSport:
An AWD German, the Mercedes G63 AMG:
And a FWD Japanese car, the Mitsubishi Galant, because why not, it's not real money.

Oops, forgot about that. They're owned by Volkswagen though so good enough?

American FWD:
1966 Oldsmobile Toronado
Japanese RWD:
Mazda Cosmo
German AWD:
Audi Quattro
If they're not totally mint and not bought at auction, they should just hit $300k or so, with most of that in the Mazda.

Couldn't it be imported as a show and display only kind of gig?

I was okay with this until the RS5, I just don't get that car.

It was too bad that it was such a pain to drive, because it looked very nice, was manual, and I could have got it for a song.
